Sonata per sei

"To celebrate the 125th anniversary of Béla Bartók's birth, I have composed a piano concerto in which I have developed a few of Bartók's ideas and ways of thinking, in particular his fondness for parallel runs in octaves, sixths or other intervals found in his piano concerti.
My piano concerto CAP-KO for acoustic and digital piano incorporates a piano technology of the future by which a computer automatically creates and adds
intervals in parallel with the notes played by the soloist.
Based on this initial piano concerto, I have developed two further versions of the piece.
SONATA PER SEI is written for a chamber music formation of two pianos, a sampler-keyboard and three percussionists. Bartók's "Sonata for two Pianos and Percussion" or "Sur Incises" by Boulez are ideal programme couplings for this piece.
The third version, CONCERTO FOR TWO PIANOS, is composed in traditional concerto form for two acoustic concert pianos and orchestra."

Für das 125. Geburtsjahr von Béla Bartók habe ich ein Klavierkonzert komponiert, in dem ich einige Ideen und Denkmethoden Bartóks weitergeführt habe, vor allem seine "Vorliebe" für parallele Läufe in Oktaven, Sexten oder anderen Intervallen in den Klavierkonzerten.
Ausgehend von meinem Klavierkonzert habe ich noch zwei weitere Versionen ausgearbeitet. Die erste Version CAP-KO, für akustisches und digitales Klavier, betrachte ich als eine zukunftsorientierte Klaviertechnik, bei der mit Hilfe einer Computertransposition Intervalle parallel zu den gespielten Tönen automatisch hinzugefügt werden.
Die SONATA PER SEI ist für folgende kammermusikalische Besetzung geschrieben: zwei Klaviere, ein Sampler-Keyboard und drei Schlagzeuger.
Die SONATA PER SEI lässt sich gut mit z.B. Bartóks "Sonate für 2 Klaviere und Schlagzeug" oder Boulez' "Sur Incises" zu einem Programm zusammenstellen.
Die dritte Version, KONZERT FÜR 2 KLAVIERE, ist für zwei akustische Flügel und Orchester in der traditionellen Konzertform komponiert.
